While you would have to have any new financial things approved by the trustee, and that may be a hurdle...the BK isn't really the issue.
By having to file for protection under BK, indicates you more than likely have too much debt, that you hadn't been honoring (or able) to keep your agreements to pay before, and basically, before or during the BK, your credit is bad....or worse. You were before filing and remain, a very bad candidate for a loan of any type!
Interestingly, your son may be a better credit risk, and able to qualify for government insured loans (that one pretty much can never declare bankruptcy on), as while he has no credit history, at least it isn't bad credit history!
See your question about getting a loan is only part of the issue. You may think getting loans is the hard thing and all you care about....and your entirely wrong....PAYING for the loan is the hard thing. And how exactly do you expect to do so, on what is normally a large amount, especially as those you've promised to pay if they gave you loans before are still waiting for you to do so? And if you have a way, why aren't you using to pay your prior debts?
