A horse is a type of animal. A stallion is a male horse that can be used for breeding, a mare is a female horse, a foal is a baby horse, a colt is a male baby horse, a filly is a female baby horse, a gelding is a castrated male horse, and a yearling is a young horse.

A female horse or pony is called a mare. And a boy horse or pony that hasn't been gelded is called a Stallion and a boy horse or pony that has been gelded is called a gelding.
A male pony is often called the same as any male horse. If he is young, then he is called a foal or colt. If he is matured, then he may either be a stallion or gelding, depending of his use, where he lives, etc. The more scientific name for a pony is Equus ferus caballus. A PONY IS NOT THE SAME AS A FOAL! A pony is a mature horse under 14 hands. There are foals, ponies, and pony foals.

A pony mare or stallion can produce a foal that is horse sized at maturity. Often these animals are just over 15 hands but there are occasional examples of much larger foals produced. If a foal is the product of a breeding between a pony and a full sized horse the chances are greater of producing a horse sized foal.
Yes they can. Any pony can breed with any horse on Howrse.
