### Is a rhombus always a kite?

A rhombus is never a kite.
A rhombus is a parallelogram with all its sides equal in length.
Opposite angles are therefore equal and the rhombus is symmetrical
about each of its diagonals.
A kite is a quadrilateral having two pairs of adjacent sides
equal in length. Only one pair of opposite angles is equal and the
kite is symmetrical about the line that bisects the unequal
opposite angles. A kite does not have any parallel sides.
