Yes, while an adult giraffe is both big and tall, all it really takes is a prolonged bite to the throat to kill it, like most prey that big cats hunt.
Given the right circumstance, a tiger can kill a giraffe if can manage to knock it down off it's feet and to the ground, which is how most lion prides typically bring down adults. There have been few accounts of one lion hunting an adult giraffe successfully on it's own, so a tiger can very well do the same.
But a giraffe's kick could also easily kill or seriously injure a tiger if it's not careful.

∙ 15y agoYes. Although it can be quite hard for the lion. The Giraffe can take a lions head off in one hard kick. But in a circumstance where the Giraffe is unaware then the Lion has the upper hand.

How is a giraffe a type of prey?
