yes they can walk trot and canter. Some of them, though not all are trained to do two extra gaits called the slow gait and the rack. They also make decent jumpers at the lower levels.
walk, trot, canter, rack, and slow gait
Normally you walk, trot and then canter but mostly trot and canter .
The gait slower than a canter is the trot!
After trot comes canter! An easy way of putting it is: Halt >> Tip-toe >> Walk >> Sitting Trot >> Rising Trot >> Canter >> Gallop Hope this helps xx
gate, trot, canter
The third fastest gait of a horse is know as the canter.
No; dressage requires trot and canter, but not jumping. You should actually know dressage before you jump.
It depends on the breed of horse. A Tennesse Walker can do all the gaits. Um, NO that is wrong. ANY horse, can Walk,Trot(Jog),Loap(Canter), and Gallop. Thoroughbreds can Breeze, and gated horses like the Tennese Walker, just have a few more gaits. Well, you see, if we're going to get technical, it depends on what you're asking. Are you asking if they can trot and canter like normal horse or are you asking if they can trot and canter naturally, at birth, without training. If your question is the latter, then no. Not all horses can trot. Some Standardbreds are born as pacers, which means they pace instead of trot. They can be retrained to trot, but it is not natural to them.

By telling your horse to canter...but your horse needs to know how to canter and needs lots of practise, and he also needs to know the command "canter". after he/she gets what you want, practise going from a trot to a canter. soon enough your horse will be transitioning smoothly! good luck!
The gaits are Walk, trot, canter and gallop. =] Hope this helped! Hollie x
