Of course.

An eclipse depends on the orbital positions of the Earth, the Moon and the Sun.

A Meteor shower depends on the orbital positions of the Earth and any one of the many sources of meteoroids which orbit the Sun.

There are about 20 annual meteor showers spread across the calendar, notably the Perseids, which peak on August 12 of each year at over 1 meteor a minute, and what is probably the most spectacular meteor shower - the Leonids, which peaks on a day near 17 November.

These showers are independent of the positions of the Moon and the Sun.

December 21, 2010 No this when a total lunar eclipse and meteor shower will happen on the same day and the next solar eclipse and meteor shower to happen on the same day will be on January 4th 2011 and this will be a partial eclipse not total A total eclipse and meteor shower only happen every 1000 years and that would be in December and it is a lunar not solar eclipse

There will be a total lunar eclipse on December 21st, and a meteor shower that peaks mid-December. Meteor showers last a couple of weeks, so there will be some overlap there.

the next time it will happen will be on:December 21, 2010

No reason why they could not- they are unrelated events.

I looked it up and found that it will be on janurary 4, 2011

No, it is going to happen in Ethiopia. Just kidding, no idea when that will happen. The two types of events are not connected.

Well...the meteor show this evening I actually a meteor shower starting dec 22nd while the lunar eclipse started at 130am dec 21st. That's 2 entirely different days. I think it would be xtremely rare for these 2 events to happen on the exact same day

I don't know when but it happens every thousand years..But what i'm sure of is that it can happen..Rarely, but it does happen.. :) I hope my answer helped

Once every 1000 years. Legends says on that day King Arthur will return!that means about 1200. lol king arthur that is not real the next total eclipse and meteor shower is on December 21 2010 so get ready

Meteor showers happen when the Earth passes through a cloud of rocks and ice. This happens at nearly the same time every year. It is simple to predict that the next meteor shower will happen at that same time, again next year.

It's called a Coincidental Simultaneous Celestial Juxtaposition.

Meteor showers are usually caused by the Earth passing through the orbit of an old comet, which happens at the same point in the Earth's orbit every year. Eclipses are caused when the Moon's orbital path crosses the ecliptic, which is the plane of the Earth's orbit. These two things aren't correlated. So the likelihood of a meteor shower happening during an eclipse is not particularly common, but with two lunar crossings of the ecliptic each month and a dozen or so meteor showers each year, it does sometimes happen.

Meteor showers happen every year. The different meteor showers actually happen at the same time every year. So for example, the Perseids happen in August and the Leonids happen in November. This is because the Earth does the same orbit every year and reaches the same points in space where there is more dust and debris, which is what causes meteor showers.

December 21 2010 will be both around 12:00 to 5:00

I'm not exactly sure, but according to The Order of the Bear, if it does, King Arthur will rise again to bring the world into the Light either by reincarnation or in original form.

1,000 years ago. I will soon. Some people believe that is the day King Arthur will return.

They won't see the same meteor as you do, but they will see a meteor shower, as they are falling in many parts of the world. So they will see ones that you don't, but both of you will be able to enjoy watching a meteor shower.

The Lyrids happen every year, in the month of April. All meteor showers are annual events happening at the same time each year.

Scientists aren't quite sure. It is confirmed to be 100-300 years from now, so you won't be here to see it. The only advice I can give you is that the most recent one was on December 21st, 2010 over North America. That night was also the winter solstice, making it extremely special, having a meteor shower, a lunar eclipse, and the winter solstice, which will not happen for another 1000-3000 years.
