Can a cougar kill a moose?

Yes. Cougars, also called Mountain lions, can kill moose by biting them on their throats and clawing the moose on the back. Most cougars prefer to kill smaller game like deer and rabbits rather than taking on a full-grown moose. Undoubtedly though, cougars are opportunistic predators and may try to kill just about any animal if it's hungry enough.

it depends on the indivdual. leopards are larger and more agresive but theier both very agresive cougars are also stronger. I think cougar wins 6 out of 10 times because its most likly gonna react faster than the leoprd, like a female cougar did to a male lion at the zoo. It bite the much bigger lion on the face without thinking. this incident resulted in the death of the lion. Its face was almost ripped out . they tryed to save it but it died at the hospital. leopards can kill lions to only when its a younger lion usually about the same size as the leopard. A 150 pound cougar killed a 1000pound moose by itself something a lion or leoprd could never do alone. So the cougar is the better fighter because its stronger and has no fear for bigger preditors it wouldnt hesitate to attack a leopard.
