It depends on the size and type of the octopus and shark. A giant octopus can kill and eat a leopard shark, but a common octopus will be a prey of a tiger shark. Blue ringed octopus have deadly venom enough to kill a full-grown whale shark.

The blue-ringed octopus is 5 to 8 inches, but its venom is powerful enough to kill humans. There is no blue-ringed octopus antivenom available.

The octopus produces venom that contains tetrodotoxin, 5-hydroxytryptamine, hyaluronidase, tyramine, histamine, tryptamine, octopamine, taurine, acetylcholine, and dopamine. The major neurotoxin component of blue-ringed octopus venom was originally known as maculotoxin but was later found to be identical to tetrodotoxin,[3] a neurotoxin which is also found in pufferfish and cone snails. Tetrodotoxin blocks sodium channels, causing motor paralysis and respiratory arrest within minutes of exposure, leading to cardiac arrest due to a lack of oxygen. The toxin is created by bacteria in the salivary glands of the octopus.[4] (it can kill 26 humans within minuts)

it can happen for a moray eel to be killed by the blue ringed octopus if the blue ringed octopus poisoned its body, or if it was injured. For a mantis shrimp, a blue ringed octopus would only kill it by poisoning its eyes, or if it was injured.

No, the blue ringed octopus's toxic is too small to damage the blue whale or any type of whale a little. The blue whale could just open its mouth and swallow the blue ringed octopus.

Its toxic is powerful enough to injure a large shark a little, no matter what species. But the toxic is not that strong to kill or injure a whale a bit.

The toxic is not really that serious enough to kill a whale, but blue ringed octopuses have plenty of venom to kill a human.

Blue ringed octopuses have enough poison to wound a great white shark, but not necessarily kill it.
