A frail fuel line can cause a diesel engine not to start.
Yes you can mix oil and diesel for burning brush and stuff just don't put it in any engines!
Either manually pump fuel from the fuel tanks to the fuel filter, or else open up the fuel filter, and pour some diesel fuel directly into it.
If the van has a diesel engine, then you MUST use diesel fuel. Unleaded gasoline will destroy a diesel engine. Diesel fuel is also used as a lubricant in a diesel engine. The use of any other fuel except diesel will result in serious damage. If you have put unleaded in your diesel, do not start or drive this vehicle until you drain the tank and change all the fuel filters. If the van has a diesel engine, then you MUST use diesel fuel. Put diesel fuel in it !... Then either press the starter button or pull the starter cord !
there are lots of differences. one no spark plugs. diesel fires by compression and heat gas or petrol requires a spark. the fuel delivery is diffrent to diesel is usally injected under a higher psi to areosol the fuel better. but diesel is more like fuel injection because the valves are diffrent
Diesel fuel is used in diesel engines as a partial lubricant. It also has a high flash point due the fact that diesel engines ignite the fuel by compression rather than spark. A gasoline engine on the other hand fires the fuel by spark and the fuel has a lower flash point. Gasoline has no lubricating qualities whatsoever. Diesel engines are designed to run on diesel fuel and the use of gasoline in a diesel engine will destroy it. Gasoline engines on the other hand will not even run on diesel but no damage will be done to the engine. You will however have to drain the fuel tank and flush out the fuel lines.
Check out the fuel shut off solenoid. The only reason a diesel wont run when warm is if it has no fuel.
forest fires do not start on the ground. it's when the air is getting so hot that somehow ignites the trees. basically, you need fuel to create a fire. i bet the ground cannot be a fuel right?
A diesel engine uses a high pressure fuel system, which means that it can't have air in it,it's kinda like the hydraulic brake system,if their is air in it,it won't work right. when you run a diesel out of fuel,it sucks in a bunch of air, which must be bled out of the system,in order for it to re-prime its self. if you don't get the air out, then, the diesel fuel will only travel up so far into the fuel line, until it is stopped by air, that's why a diesel is so hard to start after you run them outta fuel.
Fuel starvation, replace diesel filters first, then check lift pump for proper operation and fuel pressure. Also check for leaks in the fuel lines, and return lines...common problems on diesel engines.
You will destroy a diesel engine if you run gasoline in it. Do not even start the engine. You will have to drain the fuel tank, and all fuel lines.
