The healthiest way to feed your pets is to give them cooked food that would qualify for you to eat. Nothing fancy though, as adding things like spices and herbs could be a really bad thing also.

I usually just grill/cook meat by itself and give it to my dachsunds. If I add some pork or chicken to a soup, I have my boys strip the meat after the soup is made, and use the meat for the dogs.
