I don't know about dogs but a cat that is exposed to even a small amout of rat poison can later develop kidney disease or kidney failure, both of which are fatal. It happened to one of my cats and it was heartbreaking. I did keep her going and comfortable longer by giving her sub-q fluids every day. It isn't hard to learn how to do and it keeps them hydrated. Bring them to a vet asap!

Your gf is pregnant and shes unstable she poisoned her husbands gf and attempted to poison her roomates she researchd dcon and had it planned out she moves frequently should you pursue custody?

If she has not been arrested for these offenses, the court will not be able to consider them in approving custody. Your best bet is to move on from the relationship, and plan to provide child support. Your relationship does not sound like marriage material--on either side.

If a mouse eat the D Con and your dog eat the mouse would it hurt your dog?

There won't be enough DCon in a mouse to seriously harm a dog (unless it was a very small dog - even then highlyunlikely).

Can school lunches kill you?

Specify what country and region you are in. Take for instance United States of America where obesity is rampant. The Regulations, or rather lack thereof, permits people to use things that poison your body. Yes, any amount of poison might be harmful. The key, in rat terminology, is moderation. Take the dangerous chemicals in DCon. The reason this is used as rat poison (and remember to keep in mind that a lot of tests are done on rats due to the high similarity of brain structure) is that at first it does not make you sick. The rats will try a little of something, see that they do not get sick, and then eat too much. They eventually die from Dcon. Make sure you are asking questions about where your food sources come from, understand the companies that certify that they are safe, and also use your best judgment on anything that you choose to put in your body. Good Question.

How does d con kill mice?

DCon products contain different active ingredients. Their anticoagulant bait products cause death by interfering, upon ingestion, with the production of clotting factors in the blood. After a sufficient dose of the product, the mouse begins to bleed internally and later, external blood loss may be in evidence. This requires 4 to 10 days after ingesting a lethal dose, an advantage because the rodent does not associate symptoms with eating the bait and so there is no bait shyness developed. All anticoagulant products act in the same way, the only difference being the lethal dose required. All these products have an antidote, vitamin K, in the case of accidental poisoning. Tests have shown that anticoagulants are humane, causing the animal to gradually have a loss of energy before death and without the suddent more dramatic symptoms caused by other types of rodent baits. Older versions of anticoagulants showed some genetic resistance develop. The newer anticoagulants do not have a problem controlling rodents.
