A stye is a blocked hair follicle and not an infection. Erythromycin in an antibiotic ointment used for an infection, so it would not be helpful in this case. A warm compress will help. Wet a washcloth with warm water and place it over the closed eye for a little bit and it should help.

I beg to differ I know for a fact it works because I have used it just recently for a cold sore and as soon as I started putting it on it within 12 hours I could tell a big difference by the next day it was almost gone so I don't understand why some sayno
