Yeah. But what gerbils really find wonderful is also crackers, yogurt, fruit(especially strawberries), and sand bowls. Try giving them that to make them happier. It wouldn't be wise to feed a hamster crisps, as they are high in fat/salt/sugar etc. You'd be better off feeding a hamster fresh fruit and vegetables (in small quantities)

I discovered that if you make mashed potato, feeding them a little (sbout 1/4 tsp) will make them LOVE you they love the stuff!

as for junk food, i wouldn't bother risking it. it could cause tummy upsets :(

well it depends you cant give a gerbil a whole cracker but a piece of a unsalted cracker wont hurt
