Well i have first hand experience with this one so im gonna havta say yes getting punched there swells your lymph node
You might have a swollen ear after a cold because you have an ear infection. You might also have swollen lymph nodes that make the ear appear swollen.
I just came from the vet scheduled because of my dogs swollen lymph nodes. The vet believes it to be either an infection or lymphoma (cancer). Make an appointment with your vet. They will most likely prescribe antibotics to eliminate any infections. If after antibiotics if the lymph nodes are still swollen they will perform a biopsy. Best wishes.
i also had swollen lymph nodes and strep throat from smoking weed. my doc prescribed penicillin, and the infection went away. now i started smoking again, and the lymph nodes have swollen again. should i still continue smoking?

Swollen lymph modes in children is very common and can be from many things including an infection or virus and allergies. Lymph nodes on the neck can be from ear aches/infections, sore throats, runny noses, loose teeth ect... Also lymph nodes may stay swollen long after the infection/problem that caused them to enlarge has resolved. Take him/her to the doctor for an avaluation to make sure he/she doesnt need any medication.
It is possible, but those symptoms could be from multiple other scenarios as well. Make sure you were not exposed poison ivy or poison oak on the trip.
Most likely from infection. Your lymph nodes can do some impressive things though so keep a eye on it but don't over handle it either. Touching it all the time can make it worse by irritating the sesitive node.
Yes but you should check with an ENT to make sure it is not lymphoma, Hodgkins Disease or non-hodgkins. If you have other symptoms going on like night sweats, lack of energy, wait loss or it continues after GERD treatment consult your specialist or Primary care physician ASAP. In addition, if you consume a lot of alcohol followed by swollen lymph nodes you should see your doctor to make sure its not a form of cancer. If they suspect it is, they will do the radiology test, labs, and if they determine further testing is needed they may want to do a biopsy which consists of taking out one lymph node and doing the pathology testing to be sure.
Yes... Lymph glands don't just "swell" from filtering an infection out of the lymphatic system, they actually grow more cells and in-turn become larger in order to better combat the infection "poison"... They usually (slowly) go down in 2-3 months following the initial growth period. Turning the neck just puts "traction" on the swollen node, thereby stretching the pain fibers in the tissue of the node & surrounding tissue, causing the pain. Don't be surprised that the swollen node doesn't go away completely aftter everything has settled down... Often they'll be firm (scarring) and be palpable (able to be felt) for many years afterward... often lifetime.. Just make sure it doesn't keep getting bigger & bigger, and that you don't notice other swollen lymph nodes elsewhere!1 This can be something serious. See your doctor/PA if you notice this... ASAP!!
just make sure the person who got punched is ok . then punch the person who did it .... :) tbh
Something can become swollen from an allergic reaction.
The lymph glands get swollen when you have some kind of infection or an allergic reaction to some drugs, with your problem being so often you should make an appointment with your doctor as something is not right.
