Partly, gymnastics is alot more graceful while cheer is more sharp and quick. Gymnastics could help tumbling and flexibility. But do not take the style from gymnastics and try it with Cheerleading because gymnastics has more graceful and "pretty- looking" skills. So, if you only took the tumbling and the flexibility ( for jumps ONLY) then yes it could help alot with your cheer tryout.
Practice gymnastics, cheers, and pay attention at clinics because what they teach you, can help you to make the squad. :)
Cheerleading can help you make friends, learn team work, and build self confidence
A judge recently ruled that cheerleading was not a sport. As a fellow cheerleader, I beg to differ. Cheerleading combines gymnastics, dancing, and even weight lifting.
Gymnastics and dance seem to be part of the Cheerleading skill set. If you can find a cheerleader willing to help tutor you to get ready for the tryouts, that would help. However, getting ready may take months rather than weeks since there is a lot to learn.
you have to go to Boston and tryout there. hope you make it!

well to make it to the team all you gotta do is get out there, shake it but most importantly impress the cheerleading teacher or else she will shout "GET OUT!!!!"
Take cheerleading lessons...
I would say it does because both sports focus on flexibility and strength and by doing gymnastics it will make karate easier.
The people that are the actors do it. They have to have experience. You may not notice, but the girls who are on that sow have been in other tv shows or movies that Have something to do with cheerleading, gymnastics, or dance.
To make cheerleading organized and to make sure only the best girls represent the school
it depends on were and for what your doing it for! Cheerlaeding, dancing, gymnastics, etc... I'm not quite sure but cheerleading choreographers can make about $4000 making a 2 1/2 minute routine! It really all depends though!
