Gold can be found in black rocks, especially in mineral deposits that contain other valuable minerals like pyrite and chalcopyrite. Black rocks such as basalt, gabbro, and schist can sometimes contain gold either in its native form or as part of sulfide minerals. However, it is not common to find large concentrations of gold in black rocks.
Brittle deformation is most likely to occur in rocks that are hard and brittle, such as igneous rocks like granite or metamorphic rocks like quartzite. These rocks tend to fracture and break when stressed, resulting in brittle deformation.
No, rocks are typically hard and not squishy. They are made up of minerals and solid materials that do not easily change shape or compress like squishy materials such as foam or rubber.
They may be smooth and others may be rough. Smoothness/roughness is not a defining characteristic for igneous rocks.

I don't think I've ever actually seen molasses, so I may be wrong, but I think you are talking about heroin. I have heard of China White heroin and black tar heroin, but the only heroin I've ever seen was neither white nor black: it was a very fine, dry powder that was a tan/beige color (very, very light brown). Anyway, after smoking this heroin (freebasing it off of tin foil, actually) it would turn into a very, very dark brown, almost black-looking substance that was rock-hard.

Coal is typically considered to be a hard, black or brownish-black sedimentary rock formed from the remains of plants that lived millions of years ago. While it may not be as hard as some rocks, it is not classified as soft like clay or sand.
Rocks feel like a hard, rough, rigid object.
