I'm not sure, but, I had 2 gold fish die recently for no apparent reason. Am wondering if the upside down cat fish hurt them in any way. He always chases them around & they act frightened by the cat fish.

Well that all comes down to what kind of catfish u have peppered corydoras will only eat another one of your fish if it died and sank to the bottom so just research your fish first and then buy the less aggressive fish. in my tank i have 2 species of catfish, 2 upside down catfish and 2 peppered corys and they havnt attacked any of my fish. Oh and if u get upside down catfish dont get the bigger version it's very aggressive. hope that helps

No. Goldfish are cold-water fish, plecos (which are catfish) and your other catfish are warm-water fish. You run a heater in a pleco/catfish tank, but no heater in a goldfish tank. Plecos are also territorial toward conspecifics, meaning two plecos in one tank will fight and possiibly kill each other. The other problem?
