Read this utopia.fans/security/is-mediafire-safe-to-use/ if you want to know more about the safety/unsafety of MediaFire. But on the whole, you have to understand that any file-sharing services are at a big risk. As all the files that are uploaded there are stored somewhere and can be hacked.
No, only the things you download from mediafire can have viruses. If you just be careful and look at the file before u download it you'll be fine lol. If you're downloading movies or music, don't download it if its ending is .exe, its most likely a virus.
Well, It really depends. It's a yes and no answer to be honest. Mediafire is a storage site so they do not check to see if any viruses got into any songs, ect. Everytime you download... it's like taking a risk. But if you do download anything, even if its just a tiny 5 second song. After downloading check your files and check if your download is either movie format, i.e. .avi. wmv .flv .mp4 then your o.k unless you get ripped off and rick-rolled. ( Just incase run a scan quick if you feel uncertain.)
Anyting other than those formats. I'd get worried, remove the cursed thing from my files and delete it from recycle bin/trash bin and restart my comp. and run a full scan once it turns on again. So in other words play at your own risk...
Yes you can trust MediaFire but don't download programs as they could be viruses. Your antivirus will stop any malware that tries to enter your computer.
Twice I had a virus and some malware from mediafire... And then I found www.tunese.com and it was without any problem. Just try that :) actually, mediafire is quite safe, i have downloaded counterstrike and there were no viruses
There is nothing wrong with using Mediafire to download a texture pack. Bear in mind that Mediafire doesn't necessarily check files uploaded to their system for viruses, so you'll want to do that yourself when you download from them, though that's true of any downloads.
Mediafire is absolutely trustable and you can download files without waiting
No, Mediafire is good. Rapidshare, on the other hand, is bad.
Mediafire is a free resource available online that provides no-cost online storage. This means that someone can store their photos, videos, and more on Mediafire for free.
try 4shared its a great site or mediafire...but most music are not in mediafire
Delete the cookies of mediafire
Use some software to download the Video from YouTubeUpload it to Mediafire
Downloading from the official website would be safer than from some download-hosting website because it would be easy to package viruses with your download.
Went to filetram twice and got two viruses immediately. Never had ever experienced anything like this before, certainly not with mediafire or megaupload or rapidshare, etc. Clearly, this is an incredibly dangerous site that is probably infected through every tissue and link.
Downloading copy right material is illegal. Mediafire itself isn't really illegal.
