Yes, they sure can. Bactrim, which is a sulpha drug, is known to cause allergic reactions and can cause swelling of the mouth and face, mouth sores, skin reactions, fever, and more.

Sulpha reactions also have cause fatal reactions called Stevens Johnson Syndrome.
