Yes! It did for me and my mother. I tested positive for amphetamines after taking mucinex that morning. They even sent my urine to the lab and it came back for 1000 nanograms of the amphetamines.
Plus back a few years ago my mothers pain mangemeny doctor told her mucinex can come back positive for meth or ecastcy. No matter what other websites say. Its very VERY possible.

Should this occur, you can provide a proof of prescription to the testers to invalidate their false positive.
On a drug test that utilises a hair sample, there will not be a false positive detection. So you could request a test of this method instead if you wish to be cautious.
