Nuns can wear makeup but they are gently urged against it on a regular basis. I'm sure they wear makeup when special occasions come up. They really have no use for makeup otherwise. They are not in any way trying to attract any attention to themselves because they were sworn to chastity.

∙ 14y agoNormally no with one exception, for cosmetic reason when they are laid out in the casket. often make-up is used- not confined to damage-control cases.They are done up to look very serene. There is something touching about a dead nun laid out in her habit fitting close in the casket.
