Dentures need to be cleaned after meals, and especially at night when you are resting. To prevent any possibility of swallowing them, it might be best to remove them at night, or whenever you sleep normally.

A Cast Partial Denture is removable or permanently attached and replaces one or more missing teeth, receiving support and retention from underlying tissues and some or all of the remaining teeth. The underlying structure is made from casting metal to give it strength and rigidity.

What's the advantage of partial dentures as apposed to full dentures?

Partial dentures are used for people who do not need the extensive work of full or permanent dentures. Partial dentures act as a way to replace one or two teeth without having to permanently fix it. They act as a sort of retainer that you put in every morning (or whenever you choose to wear them). It is because of the type of materials partial dentures are made out of that allow them to be extremely easy to clean and comfortable to wear.
