It probably depends on your garbage disposal. I have a 1hp disposal that the instructions say basically anything but large amounts of egg shells can go in the disposal. (anything=food stuffs) so bones, peanut shells, etc are ok. But I imagine that a smaller disposal might have problems with harder stuff. Other disposals don't want stringy things like celery and onions.
No, eggshells should not go in the garbage disposal as they can damage the blades and cause clogs. It is best to dispose of eggshells in the trash or compost them.
Egg shells actually help sharpen the blades in the disposal. No plastic whatsoever. Cardboard and food will break down, cardboard will not.
No, eggshells should not go down the garbage disposal as they can damage the blades and clog the pipes. It is best to dispose of eggshells in the trash or compost them.
Perhaps because they'd probably clog the sink. Think of it, if you put a shell down the disposal and crushed it up, some pieces would most likely not be washed away, leading to bugs infestation, or rotting.
Yes it did i use to go there.
White and the ground go to the disposal, black goes through a switch and then to the disposal. All three go through the switch box, the white and ground just pass through on the way to the disposal. Break the black with the switch.
The purpose of a garbage disposal drain plug is to prevent large food particles or objects from entering the disposal unit and causing clogs or damage. By using the drain plug, you can ensure that only small, easily grindable items go into the disposal, which helps maintain its functionality and prevents blockages.
No. It will get stuck in the disposal and keep other foods from being ground up.
yes you can the garbage disposal chops things fine and it is ok to put that down there because it will be chopped up and go down the sink properly You can put anything down a garbage disposal! it will take anything you can fit, but back to your question , Yes but most vegi material needs lots of water when you use your garbage disposal because it needs more flow to flush down the drain so when you do put cabbage in it just break it up more and put it in slow with the faucet on cold.
No bones of any kind, no hard stuff like toothpicks, cocktail sticks etc.
Yes - It's not easy if you put it on the back porch. If you can afford - go for it.ANS 2 - Back porch ?? - The garbage disposal is what many people call the garburator. -Usually under the kitchen sink and most dishwashers ARE next to it .
One of the most common problems encountered with a garbage disposal occurs when you try to turn the disposal on, but nothing happens. If you are experiencing this issue, there are several things you can try to fix the garbage disposal yourself before you go through the trouble of calling a professional repairman or replacing the disposal completely. Before you try anything, however, always remember that you should never put your hand down the drain and into the disposal as this is extremely dangerous. If your garbage disposal makes absolutely no noise when it is turned on, this signals that the problem is electrical in nature. The first thing you should do is verify that the garbage disposal is connected to the power source. Obviously, if the disposal isn't plugged in, it will not run. If you find that the disposal is properly connected to power, try pressing the Reset button typically located on the bottom of the disposal unit. In the event that pressing Reset doesn't work, the next thing you can do is check the circuit breaker to see if it has been turned off or tripped. If it has been tripped, simply turn it back on. If you have checked the power, reset the unit, and checked the circuit breaker and your disposal still refuses to make a sound, there is either something wrong with the switch or the disposal may need to be replaced. To check the switch, you must first locate it. It may be on the wall near the disposal or under the sink. Once you have located the switch, you can replace it to see if that solves the problem. Before you replace the switch, however, you must disable the circuit breaker that powers the garbage disposal. After you have replaced the switch, you should turn the circuit breaker back on and check to see if your garbage disposal is working. If the switch was faulty, the garbage disposal should run normally. In the event that none of the suggestions detailed above are successful, it is likely that your garbage disposal cannot be repaired and you will need to replace it. You can either do this yourself or call a professional to install the new disposal.
