Yes, as long as your rabbit isn't overweight, peanuts are a good treat for rabbits. Mine loves the peanuts in shell. (Rabbits can digest the shell, don't worry. Even a few salted peanuts are okay because rabbits need salt in their diets.) Petsmart sells a rabbit toy called a Nutty Stick Ball for $2.99 and I find it's a great way to give a treat and a toy all in one
No, only the flat edible ones ( Mangetout)

A few of the vet sites out there warn against feeding them peanuts, it seems that they are not toxic per se, they are just not good for the animal - more so in larger quantities.
no YES Goats love peanuts - best to use the unsalted type - roasted or freash raw and in the shell ( great fiber). I have cashmere goats and feed peanuts for treats and protein during pregnancy
it was named peanut because it had a nut in the shell and the guy that named it/ found it was going pee. true story.
Elephants don't crack open peanuts, first off. Elephants eat hay, grass, and leaves, not peanuts. People in the circus used to train elephants to hid the peanuts in their trunks, but they don't eat the peanuts.
There's a jay in my yard that screeches a couple of times a day for me throw peanuts out to him. He'll come to my whistle. I've seen him put two in his mouth at once! He usually flies to a higher spot and picks them out of the shell. I've just leaned that the salted/roasted aren't best for them (oops) - buy unroasted in the shell.
No, rabbits can't eat dal (a.k.a. deal, dahl). Dal is made of lentils cooked with spices. Rabbits can't eat any of that stuff. They can't eat legume fruit (like lentils, peas, beans, peanuts, soy). Any spices or herbs you give your rabbit should be fresh, not dried or cooked. A good diet for rabbits is lots and lots of hay, some pellets, and some fresh leafy greens. Optional treats can include non-leafy veg (like carrot) or fruit. See the related questions below for details.

It can vary greatly since peanuts can be different sizes. It also matters if they are in the shell or not. If outside of the shell, one cup is usually 28 peanuts.
yes
There are usually 2 peanuts to a shell, though there can be 1 or 3 or even 4 of the "nuts" in a shell.By the way, peanuts are not really nuts. They are legumes, as are beans and peas.
