Best Answer

Yes, but they're very sugary so they should be considered a treat: a couple bites of carrot every couple days or so is enough.

Carrot greens, on the other hand, are very healthy and widely loved by rabbits!

Carrots are high in sugar and carbs and should be considered a treat food for rabbits. Treats should be limited in a rabbit's diet because too many can lead to illness. The House Rabbit Society suggests no more than 2 tablespoons of treat food a day for a normal, healthy 6 pound rabbit.

So, you could feed your rabbit a bit of carrot every day, but then that's the only treat your rabbit would ever get! To ensure a maximum variety of vitamins and nutrients, and for the entertainment of your rabbit, it's better to rotate between different fruits and vegetables than to serve the same one all the time.

Yes. Carrots have an extremely high amount of sugar. Rabbits get Diabetes and run a risk of death from too many carrots. All fruits and certain vegetables like carrots should be fed only 1-3 times a week to a rabbit.

No, in fact rabbits shouldn't eat much carrot at all because carrot is high in natural sugars. Carrot is a good treat food for rabbits. The House Rabbit Society recommends no more than 2 tablespoons of treat food per day for a healthy, normal 6 pound rabbit. Mostly, rabbits should eat hay; they should also eat pellets and certain dark leafy greens. See the related question below for info and links about a healthy rabbit diet.
