No. Antivirus programs ONLY protect you from viruses. Phishing is the process of redirecting your browser to a fake website that looks like it is legit. For example, you want to go on Facebook but instead get redirected to a scam website. It looks like Facebook, even feels like Facebook, but it's not Facebook. It will ask you to login to your profile. Of course you will type in your username and password and expect to be logged in. The fake website will collect the data you put into the entry fields and then redirect you to the actual website where you will be logged in for real. The data that got recorded from you will be sent to a hacker and now the security of your profile is at risk. That is a good example of phishing, except that hackers use it to steal your bank account information by redirecting you to a fake banking website.
