Is it safe to smoke marijuana and take antidepressants?

Nothing! Im on lexapro(an SSRI) and i smoke weed as well. I also had smoked it before i was put on lexapro. I dont notice much different in smoking now and smoking before. If anything the highs are stronger and it seems to boost the effectiveness of the lexapro. But it wont hurt you, it might trigger anxiety attacks at the worst.

Are you serious? It will do the opposite and make you happy. try it and if you are not a retatrd you will be able to function while under the influence. If not then you don't deserve to get high.

marihuana doesnt make you depressed. it makes you relax and forget bout your worries. HARD DRUGS make you depressed. like Cocaïne,. ..

so the answer is YES it is very good for depression. it makes your mind relax, and that's important in depression. depressed people are constantl THINKIN and worrying. and that's very unhealhy. too much thinkin makes you even more depressed. so marijuana isn't so bad.

on the other side NO i cannot claim it can cure your depression.

Not normally, but smoking weed can severely affect your mental health. Only an idiot would smoke weed if they were already on psychiatric medication (ie, already have psychiatric problems -- one would presume as you are taking anti-drepressants you are depressed. This is a psychiatric problem).

No, I take Prozac and I smoked marijuana a few days ago and had a horrible trip. It made me feel like I was having a seizure, and my anxiety was terrible. It makes you suicidal and want to die, I almost killed myself but one of my friends saved me. It makes you have terrible delusions. It was one of the worst experiences ever.

You can but it will counteract the effects of the antidepressant since pot has been scientifically proven to cause depression.
