Absolutely, but that all depends on how bad the concussion is, as well as any other secondary conditions caused by the initial trauma. A concussion is essentially a bruise of the brain, caused by a rapid change in velocity of the head. The brain's tissues react negatively to blood - leading to a good amount of swelling, which can cause a great deal of tissue damage. This increase in intracranial pressure can range from insignificant to life threatening. If there is a large amount of pressure buildup, brain damage can be fatal. There can also be subdural and epidural bleeds that are secondary to the initial trauma. These bleeds form by tears in the sac that surrounds the brain. Just as mentioned before, this bleeding causes pressure build up in the head which can be fatal. Doctors will work their hardest to try to manage this pressure buildup through the use of blood pressure medications as well as burr holes in, or even full sections removed from, the patient's skull.
I am sure it is possible. You'd die from a concussion or brain bleed.
Potentially, if they damage they're brain in any way. If so they could get a concussion then go into Coma, and possibly die. But if they are injured anywhere else they will live, they just have to deal with their loss of their limbs.

concussion
A concussion is an injury to the brain when it hits the skull after a hard hitHumpty Dumpty got a concussion when he fell off the wall. :)I'm afraid he might have a concussion.
This statement is not true. A bruise is a contusion, which is a fancy word for an injury that causes capillaries to leak blood which causes a bruise. You might be thinking of the word concussion, which is a severe head injury, but without a broken skull. After a head injury or concussion, you should stay awake or have someone check on you every hour and wake you up. The reason is a concussion can cause someone to become unconscious or even die from the brain injury.
A concussion can affect various parts of the brain, including the frontal lobe, temporal lobe, and brainstem. These areas are responsible for functions such as cognition, memory, emotional regulation, and balance. Symptoms of a concussion can vary based on which parts of the brain are impacted.
Due to the potential brain damage incurred from a concussion, concussion victims are kept awake primarily to observe and ensure no brain damage has occured. In situations where it has, death may result from a person sleeping.
