If you are referring to Devil Jin, you must either a) complete the "Devil Within" game mode, or b) complete at least 200 matches in either Story Mode or Arcade Mode.

∙ 11y agoIn Tekken, you have to beat arcade mode with Heihachi, without continuing, in Tekken 2, you have to beat arcade mode with Kazuya Mishima, in tekken tag, you have to beat arcade mode with Kazuya and jun, in Tekken 5, you have to customize Kazuya. And in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection and Tekken 6 too.

To get Devil Jin, all you have to do is beat the Devil Within minigame once. OR you can beat Story Mode 9 times to unlock Heihachi Mishima, and then you have 2 options: 1. Fight in 200 fights in Story, Arcade or Time Attack Mode 2. Continue beating Story Mode with characters you haven't yet, and when you got 5-6 more characters left, Devil Jin will be magically unlocked.
