Sometimes, it even effects the conscious mind. It depends on who you're talking to, this matter is mostly based on opinions. Whether the person you're talking to has has an experience with the paranormal side of reality or not. Personally, I believe nightmares can be cause, based upon and/or support nightmares because it makes you vulnerable. It causes you to react in fear and sometimes cause paranoia.
