It can if you use the 3D feature. I own a 3DS myself and when I use the 3D feature, I can feel my eyes start the hurt because they're constantly adjusting to the 3D. What Nintendo recommends you do is to take breaks from using the 3D at minimum 10 minutes long. However for children ages 8 and under, Nintendo does not recommend that they use the 3D feature as it can damage their eyes.

∙ 10y agoNo, it doesn't mess with your depth perception. It can make things better. I have really bad depth perception and I can see more depth on the 3DS and in 3D movies than I can in real life.
