I had new tires installed by Firestone on my 99 Cobra and a axle on the left rear where I had excessive wear on the tire. After the installation I was told they could not align the left rear because there was not adjustment available. They contacted Ford and told me the adjustment could only be done by Ford. Apparently from what I have read there is no adjustment to the rear on the Cobra and the front is suppose to be aligned to the rear. I am going to call Ford and get their take.
AnswerYes, 17x8 wheels with 245/45R17 tires were one of the factory tire options.
If like the 99 PA, then either front or rear replacement requires an alignment afterwards.
Direct bolt up NO. You will have to do some modifying and also change the off set of the rear wheels.

Yes
Yes, there is oil in "the rear end" . This is a planetary gear train to allow the rear wheels to rotate at correct speeds while the vehicle is turning. Oil is very necessary in these and is usually 80-90 weight.
