No. Trazodone is a tetracyclic agent, not a benzodiazepine.
if i take a drug test will my trazadone show as the same as xanax?
Yes.
It is a benzodiazepine. It generally does not cause a positive due to the fact it does not metabolize to nordiazepine or oxazepam. It can be found if specified.
No. Trazodone is a non-addictive sleep aid. (It was formulated as a a tetracyclic antidepressant, but its antidepressant action was considered rather weak, whereas its soporific properties were noted to be considerable.)
Yes; as a benzodiazepine.
No it does not
It has been recoded and verified in double-blind research experiments that Trazodone may show false positive benzodiazepine results on urine drug screens. The mechanism for this is not currently known; however, it appears that the metabolites of Trazodone may be similar to those of various benzodiazepines that are tested for on typical urine drug screens..
I don't know how it would. Trazodone mainly an anti-depressentt. It's not a narcotic. They can be used for anxiety and can have a calming, slightly tranquilizing effect. So where they may have the same calming effect, they're completely different drugs.
I take trazodone (by prescription) and recently had to do a urine test for my job. I passed the test with out any problems. You should be fine if you need to take any drug test. Plus, if it is prescribe by your physician you definitely shouldn't get in trouble for it.
Tricyclic antidepressants (TCA's) like trazodone (Desyrel) and amitriptyline (Elavil).
Valium is metabolized to oxazepam Klonopin is metabolized to 7 aminoclonazepam, 7acetylclonazepam, and 3hydroxyclonazepam. Most urine drug screen tests for oxazepam at detection of 300 nanograms. So most drug screen will not detect Klonopin. But some drug screen can test for Klonopin. You never know. Hope that helps you some.
No. Verapamil does not show up on drug test.
