I believe it has to do with the ash that is ejected violently from the volcano, which in doing so suffer a lot of friction becoming charged with electricity. Then at some point, that electricity needs to flow to the ground, via lightning..
Currently the mechanics of how volcanic eruptions produce lightning are not well understood. Part of it may have to do with ash particles exchanging charges particles in a similar mechanism to what causes lightning in thunderstorms.
The reason for that is the thermal heat from the magma creates a electrical storm in the much colder outer volcano therefore it often creates an electrical storm leading to lightning flashes all over the area.
Nothing in particular. There would be no significant affects to the volcano.
The lightning will have no significant effect. At most the lightning may melt a bit of ash or rock, forming a kind of lighting-fused glass called a fulgurite.
Yes. Ash clouds from volcanic eruptions often produce lightning.
It will do nothing to the volcano.
Lightning is not inside a volcano. When a volcano erupts, it explodes and heats rocks into small particles. These particles are ejected into the normal cloud base above the area. This creates a storm with its own weather pattern. With differences in air temps and clouds heavy with heated particles, ions start to be irritated from each other. Lightning results.
Iceland had a very big effect from the volcano it caused rain thunder lightning the lava from the volcano even killed some people and lots of plants and animals died.
When a volcano collapses on itself a caldera is then formed.

In an active volcano, it is common for there to be lightning strikes. Their energy is tiny compared to the energy of the volcano. They may be caused by piezoelectric effects in the dust.
This a riddle. It has been given as "My thunder comes before my lightning. My lightning comes before my rain. My rain dries everything it touches. What am I?"One suggestion is a volcano. It's roar comes before it spews out fiery magma, and possibly lightning occurs in the subsequent clouds above the volcano. Then it rains hot ash, which certainly dries everything it touches.
A volcano.
They get struck by lightning.
The glass ball is for ornamental purposes only. Nothing happens to it when lightning strikes it.
It will do nothing to the volcano.
NO! Lightning doesn't have thoughts. Lightning happens when GOD makes it happen!

the volcano comes to your house and yells at you!
Sun.
