in theory you could but why would you? It would defeat the purpose of having a pistol. You should just get a stand alone grenade launcher with a pistol grip instead.
No
Yes its possible, but the M1A1 Carbine was only used by Army paratroops in Europe and the grenade launching device had considerable length and was complicated to install to the muzzle, most M1A1 carbines werent seen with grenade launching devices, though a few did exist. However, on the other hand, the M1 Carbine (the M1A1's cousin) was used by standard infantry and marines, and were issued grenade launching devices more commonly than the M1A1s being used by paratroops in Europe, though they were still rare to see, since the M1 carbine want really a frontline weapon, and more of the personal defence weapon for non-combat personel behind the frontlines, and having a grenade launcher on them was kind of silly and unneeded.
m1a1 main battle tank, ah-64 apache longbow, m203 grenade launcher, PFC Gregory, there are a lot of powerful tools in the army you pick one!
Of course they CAN

It all depends of the company making it. A Tokyo Marui M1A1 Thompson would be better than a cheap Wal-Mart M4. But a Classic Army M4 would be better than a CYMA M1A1 Thompson.
M1A1 Thompson's were fed from stick magazines that came in either 20 or 30 round capacity. The most common being the 20 round magazine.
No. It is chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge.
personally i wouldrecommend a m4 as is cheap easy and cheap to fix but a thompson would be fine
