If you already have a bachelor's degree, there are alternative routes to teach within the public school system. Thus, you can get certified to teach a particular subject/s. I would recommend that you contact the State Board of Education in the state where you reside for appropriate direction. The local Board of Education in the area you plan to teach should be able to help also.

To teach within the public school system in the United States at the pre-K through high school levels, you must have a bachelor's degree in a teacher education program from a regionally accredited college or university and state teacher certification. This would take approximately four years to complete as a full-time student, provided you take the program as prescribed by the college or university.

If you have not graduated from an education program, you can still obtain teacher certification to teach art by going through the Alternative Route Program in your state.

Yes you can. To teach within the public school system in the United States at the pre-K through high school levels, you must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a teacher education program from a regionally accredited college or university and state teacher certification. This would take approximately four years to complete as a full-time student, provided you take the program as prescribed by the college or university. Individuals who already have at least a bachelor's degree but not in an education program, can obtain certification to teach specific courses through the Alternative Route Program within the state they wish to teach.

How to become a high school choral conductor?

The best way to become a high school choir director is to go to college and obtain a bachelors degree in music (specifically in music education if possible). Along with a degree in music, you'll also need to obtain a teaching certification in the state which you wish to teach. Some schools and districts will offer an "emergency certification" to hire a teacher if they are in a hurry to fill the position, but even if you're able to obtain one it will only last on a temporary basis, on the expectation that you will finish your degree and teacher certification.

Can you skip getting you bachelors in psychology and go strsight for your masters in psychology?

To my knowledge, most M.A. programs require a bachelors degree as a prerequisite. However, I do know that you can be accepted into a Ph.D. or Psy.D program with only a bachelors degree and you can sometimes elect to get your Ph.D. without getting a "terminal" master's degree along the way.

How long does it take to earn a bachelors degree after earning an associates?

Well an associates degree is a two year degree while a bachelors is four. Not all major will transfer from an associates to a bachelors. For example you can get an associates in nursing and go on later to get your bachelors and it only be about two more years. But if you have an associates in nursing and you want a bachelors in business. You will pretty much have to start over and most likely only your prerequisites will count toward your new degree.

How long will it take to get your teaching degree if you have an associates in general studies?

This will strictly depend upon the college you are attending and what state it is in. Each state requires different courses to be taken and qualifications for graduation with a teaching degree. But if you can get graduate with a bachelors it shouldn't take you more than two years possibly plus another semester. But I know that at the University of Arkansas they require a masters degree in education. Where as in Texas they only require a bachelors. But at the University of Arkansas- Fort Smith you only have to have a bachelors degree.
