Can you create custom towns on the sims 3?

ok, so far this is what I know.

Inicially I didnt think you could make ur own town. But you can.

You can get a second town, Riverview or other, when you sign up on The Sims 3 website. ( http://www.thesims3.com/ )

When you are in one of your towns, go to the options, sorry off the top of my head i think its down the bottom left corner? a few dots?

There is an option to edit town. You can delete, fiddle, remove ppl etc.

I dont know much else as I am still working on it. :( sorry.

corrected: you are able to create your own sims towns but from what i see it is a longg process, and you have to download an eternal mod.

No not yet, but you can delete everything in the town they set for u and u build whatever you want :) You can also visit the sims 3 website, or register the game so you can download a new game town called Riverview. It's worth downloading the town. But I suppose that they're gonna make a tool that allows you to make your own town in the future.

i dont think you can but you can become a partner or but out the existing shops.

Not really, but there is software available for advanced Sims players to use called "World Creator".

The game comes with 1 town, but if you want more towns you have to be a member of the sims 3. To be a member you have to create an account on www.thesims3.com

Go on the settings, the one which has three dots at the bottom left hand corner. Click it and hit edit town.
