I have just got my ears pierced and immediately changed my earrings from the stud to horseshoes. Not only did I change them but I went up a gauge size. I had no problems or pain. The gauging caused a little bleeding but that's all.

∙ 14y agoIf it's a comfort issue, yes you can change the jewellery early but be sure to wash everything before you touch your new piercings and ensure the new jewellery is clean. Better yet go see your professional body piercer if you need help putting in the new jewellery they can ensure that the change is done in such a way as to minimize the chances of damaging the new piercings.
