It depends on which mountain dew you are talking about; the soft drink called "Mountain Dew" is fine for kids (unless they require limited sugar consumption).
However "Mountain Dew" is a term that is sometimes used for "Moonshine whiskey" which can have a very high alcohol content and is not recommended for regular consumption by anyone (especially not kids!).

If you look at research, Coke is probably the worst soda you could drink (due to the fact that people use it to clean toilets, rusty bumpers of cars, and in the case of a car accident, police use Coke to clean blood of the road). But Mountain Dew does have it's side-effects, and you should probably only let a small child have a drink or two if any. Depending on their age, the most they should have if under age 11 is about half a can/bottle.

∙ 12y agoYes I found out that I am just simply because I can drink any other types of soda but only when I drink mountain dew I get horrible stomach pains. I think the most common thing to be allergic to in mountain dew is the yellow #5.
