Can you drink alcohol while taking suboxone?

Don't do it! I am on Suboxone and trust me, you will become violently ill. If you have to then try NO MORE than 1-2 drinks. But I got sick when I had 2 beers.

D's Answer: My husband and I have been on suboxone for 3 years. I can drink on it, there are some weekends where I drink a 5th of Yeager. I have never (not one time) got sick from drinking on suboxone. My husband on the other hand has. There is times where he can't drink at all, but then sometimes he can. I think (personally) it depends on the person.

If you're taking Suboxone for the reasons its indicated, perhaps drinking alcohol or using mood altering substances of any sorts isn't such a good idea.

Take it from someone who used to use 40 Lortab 10's a day and did the detox thing cold turkey over 10 years ago, please give yourself a shot and stay COMPLETELY clean and see how you feel. Life really is different without drugs.

Also remember Suboxone has its own addictive components so take only as prescribed and for as long as prescribed. Good luck to you.

i would recommed that you dont 7 teenagers in a five county area of wisconin have died recently with in weeks of each other by taking both, please refrain from using anything else than soboxone, even other drugs like over the counter you could kill yourself acciently, take care of yourself, you only get one life.

I'm on 12mgs daily of suboxone. Been on it now for about a month.

Just lately started throwing coffee on top of my recovery regiment.

You can drink coffee while on the subs, but realize that I'm sure everyone will have different reactions to caffeine.

I notice I crash pretty hard about 2 hours after the up.

It will make you want to die DONT TAKE SUBOXONE UNLESS YOU ARE A RECOVERING ADDICT IT IS THE WORST THING I HAVE EVER TAKEN!

I take suboxone and drink heavly. Im fine, i dont think there are any effects.

Im not positive so i would check with your doctor first and not rely on my answer.

Absolutely not, My cousin overdosed and died mixing those. It slows your breathing down and can cause you to pass out and stop breathing all together. not safe at all.
