I imagine you can eat BBQ meatballs with whatever you like. I have come across many people that like to serve their BBQ meatballs over mashed potatoes. Some use noodles, but that seems to be more popular with Swedish and Polish meatballs.

Baked Beans (go well, but are not a vegetable), mashed potatoes (iffy if a vegetable, consider it your starch portion though), green beans, corn (corn is a grain, but you can fool people into it being a vegetable side dish), fried okra, slaw, stewed carrots, potato salad(this is why fat people get fat, thinking this counts towards your vegetables for the day), or scalloped potatoes (think of it as a starch).
its really easy first you put the potatoes in alluminum foil the you put them on the bbq for about 20 to 30 minutes

Boneless skinless chicken breast without the bbq sauce. Chicken is healthy but the bbq sauce is loaded with salt, sugar and corn syrup.

For church picnics, bringing something original would be best. Some dish ideas would be: Casseroles, Lasagne, BBQ Meatballs, Dumplings, Quiche or a Salad.
