Yes they can and they love it, you will notice if you give them 1 stalk with leaves and all they will go straight to the leaves, :) the greener the better by the way :D

A dwarf is good for a fourteen year old and a reg. one is good for a nine year old. They both make awesome pets! You can be happy with either one.
