You absolutely cannot feel the baby move at 5 weeks. It is the size of a grain of rice. However, it is forming all the vital organs so take folic acid and vitamins and eat right - your hormones are beginning to go through some major changes due to your pregnancy and hormones can cause all kinds of feelings, both physical and emotional. Bloating, grumpiness, weepiness, fatigue, etc. However, you will not be able to feel the baby move until you are into your second trimester, or at about 20-25 weeks. The movement felt at 20 weeks is very subtle - like a butterfly in your belly -some women cannot feel movement until the third trimester when most can actually SEE movement - an elbow or foot pushes out and you can see and feel it from the outside - generally, the leaner you are, the sooner you will feel movement because excess weight can sometimes cushion things a bit. Further, if the placenta is in front, that may impede your ability to feel movement as well.
Yes, 15 weeks is about the earliest time you would be able to feel the baby's movement; experienced mothers who have had previous pregnancies usually realize what it is sooner than first-time mothers, since they know what it feels like. Many women describe it as "flutters" or "butterfly wings" - to me, it just feels like gas bubbles! For about five weeks (starting at week 15) I thought I was feeling the baby move but there was no way to be absolutely sure; I'm now 20 weeks pregnant and at this point the movements are strong and distinct enough to know for sure.
No. At four weeks you are just finding out you are pregnant. The fetus will not even have a heart beat till week 5. You may begin to feel movement around 12-16 weeks though.
maybe its gas; the baby is smaller than a pea at 5 weeks!!!!*
No.
That would depend on what you mean by "a lot." Considering the fact that the baby has almost no room to move at 39 weeks, decreased movement is normal. Complete lack of movement is not. If you are concerned, go to your doctor and have him/her listen for the heartbeat.
Yes it is normal
Yes. It is perfectly 'normal' to feel the movements of the baby at 20 weeks.. It is one of the most enjoyable experience. Enjoy it. Next time, once you become experienced, you may feel it as early as 16 weeks also. Congratulations ! When 'baby' suckle the milk, happiness on mother's face tell the 'big' story.
Yes it is normal , as the baby is moving about now.
Talk to your doctor. Normal term pregnancy is 37-42 weeks.
In primigravida, the baby will have its quickening at 20th weeks but for multigravida its earlier,at 18th weeks you can already feel the baby moving.
That is your baby moving
Yes it is normal it might mean that your baby will be a fast grower.

Yes, many women have their babies 3 weeks early
