Can you force someone to practice a religion if they have atheist beliefs?
You can tell if someone has a religion by the way the carry themselves (dress), the way they talk (cursing, vulgar language), dress, etc. There is a difference between someone being religious and someone that has religion. When someone is religious they practice the beliefs of that particular religion faithfully. If someone has religion they believe in the religion but do not practice it.
thats a very general question. First we must understand that an atheist is only someone who holds a position of unacceptance of any god claims. Other than that they are individuals and can hold any belief or reasonable expectation. Atheism is not a religion with any dogmas or rituals, and personal beliefs will vary from person to person.
It really depends. If you mean that someone does not have any kind of beliefs then this is an Atheist. If however it is simply they do not agree with Christianity or buddhisim but do neither do they believe in nothing then they are Agnostic
Non-religious. An atheist is someone who does not believe in God. There may be those who believe in a god but do not align themselves with a religion; hence they would be non-religious but not atheist.

An Atheist is someone who dose not believe in the existence of God, and rejects any form of supernatural beliefs.
Simply say: "I have no religion." Someone who states they have no religion may either be an atheist or simply be someone who may believe in a god or other supernatural force but doesn't follow any organized religion. An atheist is simply someone who does not believe in a god or gods. They have examined their world and find no evidence of the existence of a god. There are also many people who claim to… Read More
Atheist. A meaning no and theist from the word theology meaning belief in God
No, it does not mean you are an atheist, agnostist or deist might fit better. I've been trying to find a term to fit it properly, but no luck. I am Spiritual(closest I can come, because I do believe in religion, just not organized. P.s. to the person that first answered atheist, check facts before answering things, an atheist is someone that doesn't believe in god, there is a BIG difference
An atheist does not believe in any higher power such as a god. That means an atheist does not argue about religion because they do not have a foundation to argue from. They simply do not believe in a god. A terrorist is defined by horrible actions directed towards someone with a different belief.
Yes. Denying someone a job on thebased on religion or lack thereof is grounds for a lawsuit.
To be Jewish can mean you either practice the Jewish religion, or are from a Jewish decent. It is both a race and a religion. Someone that is culturally Jewish may not practice the religion, but has a Jewish heritage. Likewise, people that do practice the Jewish religion do not have to be culturally Jewish, or have Jewish ancestors.
Often the word atheist is used to describe someone who rejects God or gods. The dictionary didn't have a term for religion-less, however, that term could be used.
Well this question has a lot of bad assumptions in it: 1) Atheism is not something you practice. Atheist dont have beliefs about a god or in gods. Its hardly a belief. 2) Atheism is usually never forced. Most atheist tend to come to the conclusion of not believing in any deities. Then again it all depends on circumstance. If someone was raised in a household where the idea of not believing in gods was… Read More
Probably called: A new Religion.
No, he is not christian. He is an atheist. He is the great great great grandson of Charles Darwin who is the father of evolution. And Charles Darwin created the atheist religion. Look it up. p.s. I just don't understand why someone who is an atheist, would want to play in a christian based movie. (Narnia)
Religious discrimination is when you dislike someone when you don't have the same religious or philosophical beliefs as someone else, or because you have no religious beliefs, and because of that someone treats you less favourably than somebody else who does share their religion or belief.
An agnostic is a person who doesn't know if there is a God; an atheist is a person who believes that there is no God. There is some debate as to whether atheism is itself a religion or is merely a rejection of religion; personally I describe it as skepticism about religion. People without religion can also be described as irreligious.
Why did some of Ghana's kings continue to practice aspects of their traditional religion after the arrival of Islam?
One of the traditions was that the king would be an descendant from someone who settled Ghana. If the king/future king decided not to follow the traditional beliefs, he would lose his claime to the throne.
A: Both yes and no. The religion you left will say it is a sin, while the religion you join will say it is good for your soul. If you convert from Christianity to Islam, the church will say you have committed a grievous sin, while Islam will say you have been saved. If you convert from Islam to Christianity, Muslims will call you an apostate and reserve the very depths of hell for you… Read More
An atheist is someone who doesn't believe there is a god.
There are many reasons people claim to "belong" to a religion. Some that I can think of are; 1. Because they want to have something that will always be a part of them, 2. Because they need a foundation for their lives, or 3. Because they want to be a part of something that is bigger than themselves. Although there are many other reasons, these are the ones that come to mind. Now religion is… Read More
Do people realize that doing good is a human thing and not a Christian or religion thing and is cultivated through good parenting examples and good role models and nothing to do with God or religion?
No. If I went up to someone and said I was Agnostic or an Atheist they would probably think negatively of me. Some people are accepting, but most hardcore Christians disapprove of my religious beliefs and think I spend free time starting fires and vandalising police cars.
I'm pretty sure they call themselves agnostic, meaning one who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God or one who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism. I'm not sure that words like agnostic and atheist work completely. The question asks about a person without religion, which is a practice. It is altogether possible for someone to believe in the deity and not be… Read More
I am atheist, and I share pretty much the same values of most christians I know. I value family, friends, honesty, integrity, friendship, humanity, etc. Religion doesn't make someone a good person, and a person can be good without it. It is absolutely impossible to force someone to have a genuine fellowship with the true God ("follow a religion in truth") yet very probable to force someone to follow one of the world's system of beliefs and that is called "abuse."
Well, if your faith is not committed, then it's not your religion at all. However, most Agnostics use already established religions to base their beliefs off of. For example, if someone has mostly Christian beliefs but thinks God developed evolution. Answer: The term is 'heretic'
Very confused. Religion is what you truly believe and what you practice through your lifestyle. EVERYONE has a religion. Atheism is a religion. There's even a religion for those who don't care about life or truth at all.
Atheis was never founded because it's not a religion. Atheists aren't an organized group of people. Atheist simply means someone who does not believe in the existence of deity. The word, "atheist," comes from the Greek, "atheos," meaning "without god." According to Wikipedia, the word "atheist" first cropped up sometime in the 18th century.

An atheist is simply someone who doesn't believe in a god(s), and therefore there is no consensus amongst atheists on divorce. Opinions may differ from atheist to atheist.
Atheists do not have a position to agree or disagree with people converting to anything, it is the convertors own choice. However some atheists would disagree with converting to a religion because they believe religion to be untrue and thus that converting someone would be to feed him or her untruths.
The antonym of atheist is theist. An atheist is someone who does not believe that god(s) exist, or that there is no reason to believe that they exist. A theist is someone who believes that god(s) exist and that there is sufficient reason to believe that they exist.

An atheist would have no interest in being a preacher. It doesn't make sense for one to become a preacher. If someone who claims to be an atheist, becomes a preacher, then they weren't an atheist.
Yes, so long as the practicing of it does not impose on others. For example, you may believe that someone is possessed by Satan if you want to, or set things on fire to worship an ant, but you may not forcibly convert people to your religion or burn someone you think is a witch even if your religion condones it.
