Do you need Zapdos Articuno and Moltres to beat the Pokemon league in FireRed?

Articuno is in the cave on Seafoam Islands.
Go to the Power Plant (south of Rock Tunnel's entrance) by Surf on the water on the route. Don't use Water Pokemon or Ground-type moves, since Zapdos is Flying-type.
Moltres is somewhere on Mt. Ember.
Note: to save your Master Ball, bring Pokemon that can cause burn, paralysis, etc. and can use False Swipe (like Marowak and Scyther) so the birds will retain 1 HP.

∙ 8y agoYes, you can catch all three of the legendary birds, but only after you've obtained all 16 badges. Once that's done, you can find Articuno in the Seafoam Islands, Zapdos right outside the Power Plant, and Moltres in Mt. Silver.

∙ 14y agoYes get 16 badges. Articuno is in seafoam islands, Zapdos is hanging around outside the power plant and Moltres is in mount silver [take the waterfall route as the other way leads to the summit]
