I just had breast surgery 10 weeks ago and then gallbladder surgery, i guess the stress of both surgeries sent my body into overdrive with stress. One the 3rd day of my re-coop from gallbladder surgery my throat would not stop hurting, i could not swallow and the pain was very intense.. i went back to the surgeon and wanted to know what was going on in my throat was it due to the tube that they put down my throat.. He examined me and said NO.. it was shingles, i had taken the shingle shot last year because my mom and sister get the shingles read bad and real often. They sent me home with morphine, magic mouthwash( numbing) and with valacyclovir (valtrex) the mouthwash helps but i am sick to my stomach i guess because of the valtrex..I hope this helps. even if you had the shot stress will be the killer of us all.
