I may be laughed off of WA for this, but there is a story in the Bible about women who did just that. They weren't referred to as "ghosts," however. Read it for yourself in Genesis chapter 6. Here is verse 4:
Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
The term "sons of God" is used in other verses in The Bible to refer to angels. Demons, according to the Bible, are fallen angels. Genesis 6 indicates that one of the reasons that God sent the flood that Noah survived on the ark, was because of these illicit relationships that these women were having with demons.
What humans now call "ghosts" the Bible calls demons or evil spirits. They are not disembodied humans, they are angels who sinned and are now following Satan.
