It is near impossible to get rid of autism, and very, very expensive you if do, but chances are highly against you if you try to get rid of autism. I'm talking thousands to tens of thousands of dollars, if more. And, there is a high chance that if you do, your autism will either get worse, or you could pass away in such an attempt. The reason to that is because autism is in your brain, and in the deepest parts of your genes. So even if you decide to get rid of autism, you can't. No surgery that has ever been can modify yours genes in such a way to 'untwist', or modify your genes. Try to think of autism like cancer to your genes, but far less dangerous. It'll stay until you either pass away, or it will have a chance to be passed on to your children, and that's because your dad and mom's genes mix when having you. So there is really no way to get rid of autism.

No, you cannot get rid of autism and there's no reason to do so.

If you're Autistic then you are born Autistic and there's nothing at all wrong with that, Autistic people can experience symptoms that are unpleasant but the key is to treat those problems rather than trying to change who you are. Autistic people can also learn social skills and communication to interact with neurotypical people - Autistic people are not less than neurotypical people, but due to prejudice we do have to try to act more like neurotypical people to advance in life.

As for getting rid of autism from the gene pool - this would be eugenics: pre-natal screening to abort autistic babies, genetic modification, and even sterilizing autistic people so we can't reproduce - obviously this would be grossly unethical, after all this is what made the Nazi's so evil.

Will you get rid of your autism?

no.

Can a 2 year old get rid of autism?

No - no one can 'get rid' of autism. Autism is a neurological difference...the only way to 'get rid' of autism then would be to 'get rid' of a persons brain, which obviously isn't an option. Although autism can be a disability for many it can also be an advantage to many, even if a 2 year old is severely affected by their autism they may improve over time.

Can stem cells get rid of autism?

Nothing gets rid of it.

Is it possible to fully get rid of autism?

there is no real cure for Autism. the only thing that can help stop the process of autism from getting worse is to have the affected child be in Programs that will help him cope with his disability. but the only way that autism can really be cured is if someone is not born with it, but otherwise there is no Known cure of autism

How can you get better at autism?

You can't 'get rid of' your Autism.Autism is a difference in how your brain works, it's not something that you have but it is what makes you who you are. You cannot get rid of Autism, it's something you are born as and continue to be throughout your entire life. There's also no need to get rid of your autism, it's not a bad thing at all.

How much money is funded to find a cure for autism?

It's impossible to say for sure how much money goes into funding for research into a 'cure' for Autism overall, but an example would be to look at Autism Speaks which is the largest organisation focusing on Autism in the US and is pro-eugenics* so supports finding a 'cure'. In 2012 Autism Speaks put $15,790,797 into research, most of which was focused on finding a 'cure'. * Autism is a neurological difference; it's how a persons brain works and who they are, as such Autism cannot be seperated from the person. Autism can no more be cured than you can cure being African-American, the only way to get rid of autism would be to get rid of all the Autistic people. In supporting a cure what people are saying is that Autistic people are worth less than Neurotypical people, or that Autistic people are broken Neurotypical people, and to support finding a 'cure' for autism is essentially supporting eugenics.

What is adult autism?

Basicly, autism is something you are born to have, not something that you could grow into. So, adult autism, means that a child with autism grows up and become an adult with autism. However, if you didn't find out that you have autism until you are an adult, then your autism must be the mild kind on the entire autism spectrum.

How long does it take to develpe Autism and why?

Autism cannot be cured - Autism is a neurological difference, not an illness to be cured.A person is born Autistic and remains Autistic their entire life, just as someone who is born Caucasian cannot be 'cured' of being Caucasian. Autism is a neurological difference, you cannot get rid of Autism in a person without changing their brain, which is simply not possible.

Is autism biological?

Does there is some medicine for autism?

I don't think so, if there was then people would have been using it, unless it's too expensive. I know there's no medicine to get rid of autism but there might be medicines that help autistic people deal with their autism.Don't rely on my answer alone because I'm not sure.
