Speaking from experience, my blood pressure has gone up when I felt anxious.
Also, I tend to get the "butterflies in my stomach" feeling when I get nervous and have to go to the toilet more often.
So, I say that getting scared does make me FEEL sick/sicker.
Try taking deep breaths and breathe through the stomach.
