Examples
  • These books weigh a ton.
  • I'm so hungry, I could eat a horse.
  • I'm so tired, I could sleep for a year.
  • This Wednesday? But that's centuries away! I can't wait that long!
  • I cried a rive of tears when he left me.

Hyperbole is exaggeration or overstatement of facts. An example is the following:

"I've told you a thousand times to stop exaggerating!!!"
"My mom is so fat, when she walks in front of the tv I miss 2 shows!!!"
